Beauty in the Eyes of the Dead is the first part of a short story; is the story of an embalmer who ends up developing an attraction for corpses, mainly for their static, penetrating and absent look. As a social outcast, a pariah, he spent most of his time in the city morgue, talking, putting on makeup, tidying up, and sharing his life with the dead. His attraction to them begins to awaken the desire to, in addition to communicating with inanimate beings, bring them back to the world of the living as animate beings and disgusting creatures.

A mix of chemical solutions
Disinfection, presentation
And preservation
To avoid the stench
And prevent decomposition
Make them suitable
For public exposition
